The Theater Project Mission Statement
The mission of The Theater Project is to bring quality theatrical productions to Schoharie County and environs by engaging the community in all aspects of the theater arts. We accomplish this by developing and implementing an annual program of productions which might include musicals, dramas, comedies, classics, children's theater and plays by local playwrights. Engagement of the community is achieved by offering to all residents of the area opportunities for participation in all aspects of production.

Founded in 2006 by Katherine Hawkins, Theater Project's mission is to bring high quality community theater to Schoharie County. Our goal has been to produce several major productions a year, plus a number of fundraisers. We are an all volunteer community theater organization. That means that everyone from the actors to the props manager to our generous supporters who advertise in our playbill are all local people, just like you. Some of us have been involved in theater for many years, and some of us are new to it, but with each show we produce, our community theater family expands
